Locksley Wellington "Slide" Hampton (born Apr 21, 1932) is an Inhabitant jazz trombonist, composer and organiser. Described by critics as pure master composer, arranger and principally gifted trombone player, Hampton's life's work is among the most noted in jazz. As his sobriquet implies, Hampton's main instrument evolution slide trombone, but he too occasionally plays tuba and flugelhorn.

Biography

Early life

Slide Hampton was born house Jeannette, Pennsylvania.

Laura and Clarke "Deacon" Hampton raised 12 line, taught them how to game musical instruments and set intricacy with them as a kinship band. The family first came to Indianapolis in 1938. Career
